About the artist
Croatian painter Velimir Trnski builds images through thin, layered surfaces, bringing together daily life, love, memory and traces of Renaissance imagery. Symbolic details and translucent overlaps are central to his work. His historical cycle centred on Katarina and Petar Zrinski places personal emotion within a broader past, using contemporary staging while keeping the human figure at the centre. The works in the room reflect that balance of intimacy, history and painterly discipline.
