About the artist
Dutch artist George Heidweiller draws on travel, especially in India and Thailand, and combines screen-printed imagery, acrylic paint and collage. Fragments of cities and different visual cultures are assembled into new landscapes rather than presented as literal records of place. His use of paper, cardboard, canvas and wood gives the work a built, layered quality that complements the room’s warm interior.
