Scottish-born photographer Russell Chapman began experimenting with cameras at the age of ten and continued developing his practice through military service and later documentary work in conflict-affected regions. His stated aim is not only to record what was visible, but also to preserve something of what a moment felt like. That balance between observation and emotion sits at the centre of his photography.
